#Dewani Murder: Video - #Hindocha Family Ask 'Where Is UK Justice' ?

THE family of Anni Dewani have launched a stinging attack on the British justice system.

They are asking: “Why didn’t you consider OUR health when postponing Shrien Dewani’s extradition?”

Anni’s uncle Ashok Hindocha told how the toll of waiting for justice has made family members unwell and put them under “extreme stress”.

He said Friday’s High Court decision to halt the extradition to South Africa for trial on health grounds has added to their pain.

“We saw a little light and now the door is closed. It’s dark again,” he said.

“The British justice system has just closed that light for us.

“I was hoping the hearing would bring us closer to closure but the British justice system has pushed the time limits away. We see no ending.”

He went on: “Our health and our health status was not even considered.

“The family is not well at all and we are under extreme stress – all the family – and this decision hasn’t made that easier.

“We only want the truth and nothing else. We just want to know who did it and why. That’s all.

“I was more than expecting that he would be extradited. Now we are back to square one.”

It is now nearly 18 months since Swedish-born Anni was shot and killed on honeymoon in South Africa.

A judge decided last year that Dewani, who is suspected by South African police of plotting her murder, should be extradited for trial.

But on Friday two senior judges at the High Court delayed the process, claiming it would be “unjust and oppressive”.

The care homes boss is currently receiving treatment for severe depression and post- traumatic stress disorder.

Mr Hindocha added: “It’s a shame that the British justice system doesn’t take the South African system seriously.

“They can take care of Shrien there. I am sure that they have good doctors.”
